Take Advantage of A new Day

"New Week, New Goals"
I love to say this to myself when I wake up in the morning on Mondays! There are so many things going on and so many different energies coming from people in our day-to-day, it is important to stay focused on our ultimate goal. We must stop to smell the coffee! 

What I mean when I say that is, we must not lose focus of our purpose. With 2016 on the horizon, I've been making a lot of personal changes. This year has been very stressful and full of lessons that I will take with me for the rest of my life! I just feel that it is time for me to change a lot of things about my self and my lifestyle as a whole. So, this has been and will be my main focus until I get things to how I like them to be! Here are a few tips for when you get up in the morning that will help you to have a clear mind and to stay focused during the day!

1. Don't buy breakfast, Cook breakfast for a change.
-I find that while I'm cooking breakfast, Im also thinking of things that I need and want to do. Cooking actually gives me time to sort my thoughts and to rank them by importance. Its nonetheless healthier to cook your own food, (make sure to use only fresh ingredients if you can afford to!)

2. Make yourself a coffee or Tea! 
-I just feel so at peace when I'm making a cup of coffee or tea in the morning, I feel like I am taking good care of myself. My spirit feels very pleased by the aromas and it gives me a positive, warm feeling. Have a seat while you sip you drink of choice, turn everything off (Tv, radio, put your phone down) and truly live in that moment of peace and tranquility. Think only positive thoughts, think of the possibilities, think of that place you've always wanted to travel too. (If you don't drink coffee or tea, fix yourself water and add a few lemon slices)

3. This is the last but most important tip, write down everything you NEED to do today and then on a separate page, write down everything you WANT to do today!
-Goals! You need them, you shouldn't live without them! Prioritizing is everything! Once you figure out what you should be doing, your day isn't that hard to conquer! After you've done what you needed to do, then you can do what you want to do. I like to treat myself to a frappe or buy myself that lipstick I've been wanting!
