An Adventurous Sunday

Hello!! This past Sunday turned out to be so amazing! I spent the entire day exploring all alone and honestly it was the most freeing experience! Now I love my alone time but Ive never actually spent a whole day out & about by myself!

I am absolutely in love with this romper. Y'all know how I feel about rompers and jumpsuits if you've been reading alone :)
This one in particular was perfect for this day. Very comfy and I was able to move around effortlessly.
The pockets came in handy for my keys and cell phone while hiking!

Top: Ross  // Romper: Tobi

Ok so my first stop was High Falls State Park. The scenery is literally breath-taking! I hiked my way down into the woods while stumbling over tree roots, stumps, and rocks to finally make it to a tranquilizing waterfall and people in swimsuits laying out on rocks and swimming! Everyone was so relaxed and soaking in the environment! Now there were signs that clearly stated 'no swimming or being on the rocks' but obviously people were ignoring them! There were people literally swimming in the waterfall and sitting up under the fall getting there heads drenched in the waters. I admit that It looked pretty cool and relaxing lol I honestly wanted to try it but I wasn't feeling that brave this day!

I wanted to get so many more pictures but there were lots of people out and I don't feel too comfortable taking timed photos on my phone because I'm sure I'd look like a weirdo lol Guess what? I had to get a few though! I would find an empty spot with little to no people and snap it up! These photos are the results of that!

Swinging, people watching,  and enjoying a smoothie in Piedmont Park.
(I really wanted to go for a swim but the pool was closing by the time I arrived. )

+Steamed Vegetable Dumplings
+Curry Noodle Soup
+Thai Tea

I hope you enjoyed.

Updated Summer Skin Regimen

Hello! So happy to be back writing to you!
Today I'm going to tell you about my Summer skincare regimen which is doing my skin wonders. I recommend all of these products that I'm telling you about because they may be just what you need to get that healthy, glowing skin this Summer!

Firstly, I love simple chemical-free products that does what they say they will do. Also its important that I don't have to take more than 10 mins. daily on my skin. 10 mins in the morning and 10 mins at night. Sundays are my spa-like days where I take 30 mins- to an hour on my regimens and use sheet or clay masks! Those days are lovely and a cup of green tea makes for an extraordinary companion.

Here's my go-to products during for Summer 2017:

1. PURLISSE Blue Lotus 4-in1 Cleansing Milk

>pur~lisse literally has the perfect cleanser for hot, summer months because their product is so creamy and hydrating! It really gets the job done. I can use this as a makeup remover as well and it has no problem removing all of the gunk from mascara, foundation and lipstick. After I rinse my face with warm water, this is the first step to my regimen. This is the first product that I use and I take a nickel size and rub it on my face with both hands in a circular motion until I feel my entire face is good and coated. I then rinse it off and use a toner.

2. PURE TROPIX'S Green Ginger Toner

This product is super potent so it only takes a dabb to be effective. Like, really don't put any more than a dab unless you want your face to be red! Its a good thing that its potent because this is a product that lasts super long and is highly effective in doing as it says it will! So I just put some on a round disposable face cloth and gentle swipe over my cheeks, forehead, chin, and nose! It gets rid of all excess dirt that my cleanser didn't. I then fan my face to dry it in. I follow up with a moisturizer to seal the deal!

3. DR. BRONNER'S Pure Castile Soap

This will forever be a staple in my home, for the rest of my life! lol Its definitely 18 in 1. I use this to bathe with and for my face. Its a magnificent cleaner whether you are cleaning your kitchen counter tops or your face. You can even use it as a laundry detergent but thats of another post. I use this every night in the shower before bed. It really get my skin squeaky clean without any chemicals or nasty stuff. This castile soap is all natural and contains lavender essential oil. The smell is so calming and mellowing. I drift right off to sleep with no problems after each use and my skin is left clean, clear, and smelling like fresh lavender fields.

4. CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

I've been using this lotion for years! Its the best hands down. It doesn't make my skin sticky or oily, it just gently melts into my skin and does its job. I just put one pump onto my fingers and thats all I need. I use this day and night! My skin has a nice glow after each use! This is a pricey moisturizer but it is so worth it!

5. THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE 3 IN 1 Wash+Scrub+Mask

Ok, so I just recently picked this up while I was browsing in Ulta. I originally went for a scrub because my skin was starting to look dull and patchy. When I saw this, I was like woah! score! lol Its a scrub, mask, and cleanser in one! Sometimes I let it sit on my face as a mask but sometimes mostly I use it as a scrub when Im needed to get deep down to those pores. It has a very refreshing and awakening smell. The Tea Tree oil definitely is a must somewhere in your skincare regimen!
This is where I incorporate it in my regimen.

I am going to start incorporating Dudu Osun's Black Soap into my regimen again because I'm needing that deep, squeaky clean skin situation again! This is a photo below of how it looks. Trust me Im thinking the same as you when I first saw how it looked but girlfriend don't judge a book by its covers. I know everyone's skin is different but please don't sleep on this soap. It is all natural and deep cleanses your skin, tightens, and brightens all at once! Trust me, your skin will look way better after using this magic stuff.

I hope you thoroughly enjoyed this post! I'm currently at my 9-5 job writing this post and its Friday, July 7, 2017 4:45 P.M. lol Just in case you cared. But Im ready to find some cool water to jump into on this scorching hot day! Maybe the next post will be on some swim suits I recently got in, stay tuned to see... Until next time, keep it GLAM!

The Glam Agent

Happy 4th of July!

Hi Glamsies! I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July Holiday!

I knew exactly what I wanted to wear on this day! We had originally planned to go to the lake on this day so I wanted to wear something light and flowy. This is an easy-breezy look that I absolutely love...
So the main thing I love about this dress is the color. Its not a color that you see everyday and its very soft, feminine which I love! The color is called Orchid and its simply beautiful. The self-tie detailing is perfect for me because I like the option of adjusting the fit to my body shape and liking. This is a dress that I feel will look great on various body types because of the self-tie feature.

Your back is out (not your whole back) and your sides are peeking out but thats what makes this dress so amazing! The color just finishes it off perfectly!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

June Wishlist | Matching Sets, Flowy Dresses, and Sleek Bikinis

Hi Glamsies!

Happy Humpday.

I've really been into matching separates, flows dresses, and rompers lately! I have this amazing romper in a very unique print that I want to show you. That'll be posted soon!

Today I'm going to show you some looks that I've been wanting and this will summarize my want list for the month of June! Now this list will be items that are from one website, SheIn and its because of their unbeatable prices and trendy pieces that is so unique! I want to point you in the right direction in regards to style on a budget!

Lets get started...

My obsession for matching sets is too real! This set is perfect for getaways, pool parties, and everyday wear! These are so easy to slip on and style effortlessly because your look is pretty much complete and you look snazzy without even having to accessorize!

The rule detailing in this set makes for a very chic, lady-like look. I love that it comes with a bandeau because without showing a little skin this look can quickly go from chic to a pilgrim-like look lol (Im just saying) Honestly, I don't want to look like I'm a farm girl, while theres nothing wrong with that, thats just not my thing. Shoes will play an important role in making this look fully come together. Heels or block heeled sandals will definitely make for a great compliment!

Laced, striped, and backless! What a magnificent combo! I live for these twists and turns in a clothing  piece. This has me written all over it lol Backless is for us brave girls who aren't afraid to show some skin but lace gives us that sweet touch while stripes elongate whatever area of the body it touches. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. This is my fav from this wishlist!

This color is an attention-getter and a confident lady like yourself will sure look good in it! This look says I'm a lady but I know how to take charge and i'm very confident in my femininity! Being a woman never felt so good in this dress. Show up to brunch, baby showers, or even to a date night in the marvelous dress, you'll be sure to slay the scene!

The material and detailing of this set makes it not look so simple! This is a nice yellow color but the design is very simple but simple is definitely on trend right now. If you're into trends this works perfectly! Im not a person who follows trends but I do love this bikini set for its unique color and detail.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What are some looks, items, or accessories that you've been into lately? Please comment below, I would love to know!

1st Annual Glam Pop-Up Market

Hello! Happy Monday!

Guess what I am so so happy to tell you about??

My latest, but most proudest accomplishment! Which is...
Hosting my first very own event...a Pop Up Market!

I have been wanting to do an event like this for a while but recently I gathered the momentum and the braveness to do it! I felt like the time was right and so I put my fears, doubts, and shyness aside and DID IT!
I had 10 vendors who came from as far as South Carolina to be apart of this spectacular event! I am overly thankful and grateful for them over everything because without them this wouldn't have been possible. So thank you to all the small business owners for believing in me!

I couldn't have picked a better place to have this event! The SoChi Gallery was nothing short of amazing with its modern interiors and loft-style construct. I only viewed this space and knew it was the one immediately upon viewing it! I was totally sold, it was perfect! I took a good friend and mentor of mine along with me, Dave (Owner or Pure Tropix) and he to was in love with the space!
Thanks so much to the owner of The SoChi Gallery, Terrell Sandifer for creating this lovely space!
I must say that my vision literally turned into a reality with this event. My mother id an excellent job on my dessert table and mimosa bar! She's the queen of event and home decor. Love you mom! I didn't have to give her any instructions, she made it happen!
So there were 4 different juices to mix with your champagne and 3 different kind of fruit to top it off with! Girl, thats 4 different types of champagne lol! I found these cute gold and white straw at HomeGoods, how cute! Perfect for The #GlamPopUpMarket. Everyone was in heaven.....We also had mint/cucumber water along with an exotic juice drink for those who weren't into alcohol.

OH MY, Kimono

Hi Glamsies!
Today's post is a look of the day featuring this gorgeous, spectacular kimono! I wear this kimono with shorts, skirts, pants, jeans, and even dresses! You name it and this kimono really gives whatever you wear underneath it a vibe! yes, #IssaVibe! lol
For this look, I chose to pair this kimono with my flair pants, a crisp white tank top, and a floppy hat! I chose to keep my shoes simple by picking these olive green block sandals to accentuate the look!

Check it out...
