The Burgess Hotel, The First Boutique Hotel in Buckhead, Atlanta

Hello, Hey, Happy New Year! I've been on a hiatus but I'm back and excited to be blogging Gin. I missed writing so, so much but I didn't realize this until this past weekend while I was staying at this amazing boutique hotel in Buckhead, Atlanta. I stumbled upon this lbeautiful place located in the heart of Buckhead District. I was on a mission to pamper and treat myself to a spa date, dinner, a movie, and shopping then I decided to find a place to stay overnight is that I was too tired to drive back home (2 hours away). I searched Expedia.com for hotels nearby because I wanted to use my reward points!  I came across this hotel and thought to myself wow, this seems too good to be true because it's so beautiful but the price is so reasonable. Plus, I'd never heard of the hotel or heard of anyone staying here. I decided to check it out for myself in person so I typed the location into my GPS. I realized that there was only one room left for the night and when I pulled in, I saw nice couples who were dressed very well-walking inside the hotel while hotel assistants unpacked their car and Valet parked for them. I thought to myself, Hmmmm....I think I'll go ahead and book it! So I booked it and gave the valet my keys to park my car. This was the last minute so I had no overnight bag, only my self, my phone, and my purse! The best things in life are always unplanned.

As I checked in, there were two men at the counter who were very friendly and talkative. They were surprised that I was single and spending time alone. We laughed and joked about that for a few seconds and then one of the men kindly showed me around the common areas and how to get to my room. The service was great from the time I entered to the time I left! He gave me two room keys and I was on my way!

As you can see, this is the living space and bar area. Isn't it a beaut? I was stunned by the decor and the attention to detail given to space. There were a group of couples having dinner and drinking wine while making jokes. There were others in what looked to be a library/living room area, exchanging laughs and mingling. I really appreciated the positive, enchanted atmosphere!
I couldn't wait to get to my room so I could come back down and enjoy the bar area.

Outside of the area to the left was a pool and lots of lounging space. As you can imagine, the weather definitely did not call for pool time as it was in the 40s and rainy. I will be back to visit in the summertime when I attend Brunchfest and Summit21 and I plan to stay here! So I will be able to enjoy the pool then.

Freshly-brewed coffee on a cold, rainy day.

I decided to grab breakfast at the Fia Restaurant. Once again, decor on point and service astounding! My waitress was a young, vibrant woman who seemed to love her job. I was confused by the menu because I wasn't sure about what I wanted to order. She asked me a few of my taste preferences then suggested I get this. It tasted tomatoey and very good! I added toast and jam on the side. Yum!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I look forward to having you back here soon!
